Carl Spiering and Team Eaton Cutler-Hammer
end a successful 2005 Pro Mod season

Rockingham, North Carolina - Carl "Big Dog" Spiering and his Eaton Cutler-Hammer 63 Corvette Pro Mod have had a season to remember in 2005 IHRA Pro Mod Competition. Spiering's 3rd place finish in National Points is something to really be proud of having only ran 9 of the 12 national events during the 2005 season.

Carl states, "I'm very proud of this team. We grew together in 2005 and it shows. A win and a couple of runner-ups, along with a 6.07-second run and the Torco Pro Mod Shootout win compiles for a great season. We started off the year with a win and almost ended it with one as well, but came up a little short. We are presently putting together our plans for the 2006 season and they are not completed at this time. I have to thank my wife Helena and my daughters Lisa and Monica. They are my biggest supporters and fans. It would be hard to do it without their help and support".

Spiering equates his success in 2005 to many different aspects, most of all Eaton Cutler-Hammer. "What can I say about Eaton Cutler-Hammer? They are the best sponsor in the world and they provide me with the tools to be competitive and field a winning team. Our new engine program with Brad Anderson Hemi power, a great car from Tim McAmis, and relentless hard work from Terry Vince, Frank Frederico, Mike Persico, and Bob Sackrider. "Without all of these people we could never be as successful as we are", said Spiering.

Spiering's 2005 season almost ended with a win at the World Finals in Rockingham, NC. Spiering made it to the final round of competition where Eaton Automotive's Mike Janis defeated him. Spiering posted a blistering run of 6.07-sec @ 233 Mph in qualifying to better his previous personal best of 6.10. Crew chief Terry Vince stated, "All in all it was a great race. We ran fast and almost won the event. We will have the winter months to do more research and development for our race team. We hope 2006 will be even stronger than 2005".
